Soroptimist International of Westland Educate to Lead Grant is for training or study that will develop leadership capacity and be used or shared in a community organisation, sports or voluntary organisation, or at work. This could be coaching or mentoring, participating in events that develop new skills, or work-related training which will be shared with and benefit others in your workplace or organisation.

The Soroptimist International of Westland Educate to Lead Study Grant is open for applications. It is an annual grant of up to $1500.

Criteria

  • For women resident in Buller, Grey District and Westland and who will be using and sharing what they learn in their communities for at least 12 months after the training is completed.
  • Open to all women/girls –at school, homeschooled, employed or in volunteer work. (No age restriction)
  • To cover costs including fees, travel, resources or childcare associated with the training or event
  • Will use the funds within 12 months of being awarded
  • Referees required
  • The successful applicant will be required to report after completion on how the study is being used or shared with others
