The West Coast Basketball season is coming to a close with FINALS locked in for Saturday 7th August at the Westland Rec Centre. There will be some exciting games across the board to watch, don't miss out on the action.
The GHS Warriors will be competing in the C Grade final will be taking on the top of the table JPII Marist who have not dropped a game this season. JPII are heavy favourites going into this game however, there are some players with impressive scoring ability in the Warriors team so do not write them off. The Warriors true to their name will put up fight int he C Grade final! Coaches Alex and Jospeh will be looking for an upset to take the finals honours in the 2021 season. Good luck boys!
Our other side in action is the GHS Senior A Girls taking on the women's team Star. Our girls team is bursting with talented players of mostly a new team compared to the 2020 outfit. These girls have been working extremely hard - even getting in some early before school trainings to get them looking sharp. In the three encounters they have had throughout the regular season Star took first blood 64-57, GHS took the second with a solid 20 point win, 61-41 and in the final encounter Star took the close win 67-63. This game could all be about who turns up the best on the day! Definitely an exciting game to watch.

WCBA Prize Giving - Sunday 8th August, 4pm, Regent Theatre
WCBA will be celebrating ALL levels of basketball, those wee mini ballers, Primary School, Senior, 4x4 and Representative achievements from our basketball community in the 2021 season.
ALL of the wider basketball family are invited to attend this prize giving, light snacks will be provided and Ferrari's Lounge Bar will be open to purchase refreshments.
