Greymouth HS hopes to send away multiple teams to Winter Tournament Week at the end of August - start of September. Tournament week is a great opportunity to represent the school in your chosen sport and get fantastic exposure to a higher level of competition.

If you are interested in playing for any of the below teams please have a chat to your caregiver as it can cost a large sum and is time away from school then register your interest to the Sports Coordinator.

NOTE: It is a privilege to represent the school in sport not a right, students are expected to have an attendance of 85% or higher, be up to date with classroom work, follow and demonstrate the school values and PB4L expectations.

BOYS HOCKEY

• Girls Y9/10/11/12/13 can play
• Combined team of GHS, JPII, WHS and homeschooled players
• Needed 15 players minimum
• Location: Ashburton
• COST: Approx. $400.00 per player (prior to fundraising or sponsorship)
• Travel days: 29th August, 4th September
• Playing days: 30th August - 3rd September
• NOTE: If needed trials will be conducted

GIRLS HOCKEY

• Girls Y9/10/11/12/13 can play
• Combined team of GHS, JPII, WHS and homeschooled players
• Needed 15 players minimum
• Location: Nelson
• COST: Approx. $400.00 per player (prior to fundraising or sponsorship)
• Travel days: 29th August, 4th September
• Playing days: 30th August - 3rd September

SENIOR BOYS RUGBY LEAGUE

• Boys Y11/12/13
• Combined team of GHS, JPII, WHS and homeschooled players
• Needed a minimum of 18, maximum of 20 players
• Location: Christchurch
• COST: Approx. $400.00 per player (prior to fundraising or sponsorship)
• Travel days: 29th August, 3rd September
• Playing days: 30th August - 3rd September
• NOTE: If needed trials will be conducted

U15 RUGBY UNION

• Boys UNDER 15 years old as of 1st January 2021
• Needed a minimum of 18, maximum of 23 players
• Location: Oamaru
• COST: Approx. $300.00 per player (prior to fundraising or sponsorship)
• Travel days: 29th August, 2nd September
• Playing days: 30th August - 1st September

10-ASIDE GIRLS RUGBY

• Girls Y9/10/11/12/13 can play
• Combined team of GHS, JPII, WHS players
• Needed a minimum of 10 players - there is another school attending that will have spares if we need more
• Location: Westport
• COST: Approx. $150.00 per player (prior to fundraising or sponsorship)
• Travel days: 31st August, 2nd September
• Playing days: 1st - 2nd September
