Last week NHK went to the Arahura awa to learn about the pūrākau of Poutini and Waitaiki.  After days of rain we had an awesome sunny day. 

We started with karakia and waiata and then we heard the pūrākau and looked around at the parts of the pūrākau that we could see - Tūhua and The awa. We looked for pounamu, Weylah found a cool piece that looked like a shark's tooth. We had some kai and practised the school haka a few times. He tino pai te rā! It was a great day.
