Welcome to Term 3, week 8

Tournament Week

Firstly, I really want to thank Maddy Crawford our amazing sports co-ordinator for all of her work around organising Tournament Week. She did an absolutely fantastic job making sure everyone was sorted out and then she went and coached our senior girls netball team. Fantastic!

I would also like to thank all the people who volunteered to help out with tournament week whether it was coaching, refereeing, managing, driving and supporting our teams.

Thank you to all of our sponsors including our fantastic Ka ora Ka ako | Healthy School Lunches team from Fresh Choice, Westport who gave us a generous financial donation and also helped out by providing food for our players. Ka pai!!

Practice Exam Week - week 9

In week 9 we have our practice exam week. It is a great opportunity for our senior students to practise sitting an exam and it is also important to get a derived grade which we will use if for any reason your child cannot sit the actual exam. Every year we have some students who cannot attend exams due to circumstances beyond their control.

Please see the timetable for Practice Exam Week attached. 

If students do not have an exam they are not required in school, unless they have a tutorial or would like to study in the library.

** Please note that the Year 11 maths exam on Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon is a real exam (AS91946 - 5 credits) and not a practice.

Thank you to all of our volunteers who are doing reader/writer for our students who need some extra support. We really, really appreciate it!

NCEA options evening - Thursday 14th October - starting at 6pm

We would love to see you at our NCEA options evening so you and your child can find out about NCEA in general and talk to teachers about different subject choices. This is relevant to any student who will be in Year 11 - 13 in 2024.
