Welcome to our final newsletter of 2023. We have attached my speech from Junior prizegiving.

Staff

We say goodbye to the following staff members and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours. They have all made great contributions to our school and we will miss them but I am a great believer in making decisions that are best for yourself and your whānau.

Manu Summerville from our Science department is moving to Austria which will be an amazing experience!

David McTaggart HOD Health & P.E. is moving back to Auckland to be closer to family and is joining St Kentigern’s as a PE teacher.

Bernard Adams from our Social Studies department is joining the Rudolph Steiner school in Christchurch.

Shohsy Perchig-Gibli, our Gateway Coordinator, is moving to Christchurch to be closer to family.

We have been very fortunate to employ the following two teachers to join us in 2024.

Nick Secker who is a local from Blackball. Nick completed his second teacher training placement with us in Science earlier this year and we are very impressed with him!

Sarah Kemp will be joining the Health and PE team. Sarah trained in the UK and has a strong interest in Outdoor Ed as well.

Jacinda McBride is also joining our team as the Gateway/Work Experience Coordinator from 2024.
