What to do on the first day of school.

Gulf Harbour School —

It's been a few weeks - so here are some reminders of what to do on the first day.

Firstly, if you are new to Gulf Harbour School and you are unsure of where to go, please head straight to the school main office and someone will be happy to help. We will also have members of staff welcoming everyone at both entrances, so if you have any questions they will be able to also assist.

All whanau are more than welcome onto the school site, however we do ask that parents remain outside the classrooms. We have found over the years that this results in less tears from the children. We recommend a quick cheery goodbye and see you later, rather than a prolonged hanging around. It also allows our teachers to focus on the children instead of answering adults questions. Obviously if your child needs a hand carrying in their big box of stationary - this is fine.

We will be inviting all parents into the classroom in week 3 for a good look around and whanau picnic.
