It was an absolute pleasure taking our first group of Year 4 Camper's away last week. We were so lucky that although the weather was less than ideal, we somehow managed to go ahead with all of our outdoor adventures, saving our water activities for the Friday which was a perfect day our in the sun! The children were incredible and had an awesome time achieving challenges with their peers and supporting each other to achieve!

A special shout out to our children who were chosen as future leaders at the end of camp by our Year 6 leaders. These children showed resilience and grit and supported their team members throughout camp. Well done Amina, Zac, Harlen, Emerson, Lachlan and Eli! They have all been wearing their leadership bandana proudly at school this week.

We kicked off our term 2 Teina Sport rotation yesterday afternoon. The children enjoyed participating in a range of sports such a soccer, rugby, small ball skills, tapu ae, dance, basketball and more. We will be running this sports session every Thursday afternoon. Please make sure your child packs a spare change of clothes for this each week.

Life Finds A Way

We have been learning about different habitats around Aotearoa, and what characteristics our animals have in order to thrive and survive in these places. Room 8 has been having lots of fun testing out different types of bird beaks, and collecting food to bring back to their hungry baby chicks!

Please make payment ASAP if you have not done so already. Your child's classroom teacher will be in contact with the parent helpers for their class. Please be aware that if the weather on the day of our trip is horrendous, we will be postponing until a later date.
