We Will Remember Them
The first few days of this term were largely devoted to our understanding of ANZAC Day and what it means to us as a Tuakana.
There were many fantastic activities taking place, from artwork, to short diary entries, Haiku poetry to drama. The short week culminated in an open classroom event, where students had the opportunity to walk around the other Tuakana Classes to experience and give feedback on the excellent work produced.
MUSEUM VISIT - HELPERS AND PAYMENTS
Thank you to all of the parents who have so-far offered to support the Museum Trip on 23rd (Year 5) and 24th (Year 6) May. If you have not yet contacted your child's class teacher, but would like to help on the day (we need you!) please do so asap.
PAYMENTS:
We currently stand at just over 50% of Tuakana parents and care-givers as having paid for the Museum Visit. Sadly, this is nowhere near enough to ensure the trip goes ahead! This is an awesome activity that includes so much to offer our Tamariki! DEADLINE FOR PAYMENTS IS NEXT FRIDAY, 12TH MAY - you can pay through the school shop, Kindo (it is listed as under Term 3, due to an admin error)
