PURAPURA : As we are coming towards the end of the term, our teachers and ākonga are enjoying reflecting on the learning and progress.

Abi Copley —

This week, we wanted to share a few ways we can work together to support your tamariki as they think about their learning.

Giving Feedback:

When you're working together at home, you can use the same language. Something like this,

'Wow, gold for glory for sounding out that word! Pink to Think- don't forget to put the sounds back together to read the whole word'.

You can see exactly what your child is working on and what you can focus on at home. You can also see what they've achieved already, which is fantastic to celebrate as a whānau.

Sign up for a workshop:

Workshops are running during the disco this Wednesday, march 29th. Sign up to find out more about helping your child on their path as a life long learner.

Concerns & questions:

We always have an open door to talk about your children.

There are, however, times when it's more appropriate to do so and a procedure to follow should you wish to raise a concern.

Before school is an invaluable time for the teachers to connect with the tamariki and begin the day the right way. After school is a better time to have quick chat, or make an appointment should you wish to speak with more privacy.

The attached document shows our school procedures for raising concerns should you wish to take a look.
