We are looking for Homestay Hosts for Term 1 for short stay students of 1- 3 weeks, and hosts are compensated $750/week for 2 guests.

Guests can share a room, and sometimes a double bed. As a host you need to provide the room, laundry facilities and 3 meals a day as you would make for your own family. They are here for a cultural exchange experience and English language immersion, and will fit into your household routines. As a host you will get to learn about another culture, connect around the world and share our wonderful local area and your way of life with others.

We look for a wide variety of hosts who want to share their lifestyle with visiting students. You do not need to have children at GHS, and can even work fulltime as we have guests with different requirements.

We have the following hosting options available:

• Students on scholarship from South Korea aged 10-12 who will be placed 2/host family (or up to 4 students). They are staying 3 weeks from 4th -24th February. They will attend school from 9 – 3pm with extra classes until 5pm each day and the group will organise weekend sightseeing activities for them.
• Students with a parent for a very short stay of just 2 weeks 11-24th February who will go to Rotorua in the middle weekend. They will be aged 5 -12years old and attend a Beijing International school so will have some English language ability, and the parents all speak English.
• Additionally we have other students with parents staying between 2.5- 6 weeks in February. These range from 2-4 guests.
