Have you considered becoming a Homestay Host Family? Come along Tuesday evening and find out what is involved!

We are looking for Homestay Hosts for 2-4 weeks in Term 3, for students aged 5-12yrs old from Japan, China and South Korea, and are holding an information evening next Tuesday 9th May at 7pm in the Staffroom for anyone interested in becoming a Host. 

We look for a wide variety of hosts who want to share their lifestyle and culture with visiting students. You do not need to have children at GHS and can even work fulltime as we have guests with different requirements. We place 2 guests/host (up to 4 if a family), and hosts are compensated $325/week/guest.

The most important thing is to be able to offer a warm and supportive home environment where guests are welcomed as part of the family and included into normal family routines. We try to match families with guests of similar interests as much as possible.

Come along and hear about what hosts do, what the students and parents are like, and firsthand experiences from some of our hosts. Feel free to ask any questions!
