Purapura is sprinting towards success

What a fortnight we have had in Purapura! From open classrooms showcasing Numicon to Athletics Day - We have been super busy in Purapura.

Open Classroom Numicon Morning

Thank you to all our whānau that attended our Numiocn open classroom morning on Friday the 7th of March. Purapura tamariki enjoyed being able to show you components of their Numicon learning. We are very lucky here at Gulf Harbour School to have Numicon imbeded into our teaching and learning programmes. We appreciate those of you who could make it coming in and working alongside your child. They loved being able to share a part of their daily classroom lives with you.

If you couldn't make the open classroom this time there will be other opportunities throughout the year to come in and have your child share their learning with you.

Athletics Day

What an incredible day we had for Athletics Day on Tuesday. The sun was out in full force and Purapura tamariki gave the day their all. From sprint races to their rotations with various activities, it was wonderful for all those who attended to witness Purapura children give everything a go and demonstrate resilience throughout the day. Please see your child's learning story on HERO for more detailed recap of the day.

Pick Ups

We know that sometimes you may have to pick up your child early from school for various reasons. Please remember to sign your child out at the office and when possible please sight your child's teacher and make contact so that they are aware that you are taking them off-site.

It is hard to believe that half a term is completed already, but here we are. We are very proud of the strong start our tamariki have had to this year and we are looking forward to what the remainder of this term (and year) have in store for us.

Have a lovely weekend
