Senior Prize Giving 2016
There's no better way to recognise student achievement and celebrate the end of the year than heading along to our Senior Prize Giving. And this year was a special one...
Everyone will have their own moments from our 2016 Senior Prize Giving which delighted or moved them. For us, it started with Max Nicholls's powerful karakia and then in response, hearing 'Te Aroha' sung strongly by whānau.
Then, there was Richard Townsend’s spontaneous introduction about what Hagley meant to him, leading to his brilliant rendition of ‘This is the Moment’ - then the standing ovation which followed.
And John Beijen's student speech, just wow...
These are our students and they spoke about their school. This is heartfelt stuff about what our place, Te Puna, is.
We would also like to extend a special congratulations to all our award recipients and subject prize winners, all of whom have had their hard work this year acknowledged at this event.
