Join the anti racism campaign!

the Learning Communities Team —

Hagley College actively responds to the first nationwide campaign against racism.

Each year over 400 complaints are sent to the Human Rights Commission in New Zealand. The campaign aims to raise awareness in the public and give a better understanding about racism. It was officially launched on 1st Sept 2016, by Human Rights Commissioner, Dame Susan Devoy, at the Diversity Forum 2016 at Te Papa, Wellington. It is a call for New Zealanders to speak up against racist behaviours. People can share their experiences of racism on a digital platform http://www.thatsus.co.nz/ by telling their stories, which can be from a victim, or a bystander, or a defender and even an abuser.

Join the campaign with us ! Don’t be a bystander!
