Year 10 School Camp

Bridget Salkeld —

On Oct 20th, over 60 Year 10 students headed off to Okains Bay for three days of sun, fun and crazy times!

There was a mixture of activities available, including mountain biking, coasteering, rock climbing, surfing/paddle boarding, tennis, and the ‘waka challenge’ to keep students busy. It was a great opportunity for the students to accept physical and mental challenges, overcome some fear and anxiety and push themselves outside their comfort zone. They were an exceptional bunch to take away and all staff were complimentary of their awesome attitudes and willingness to get involved. No cellphone coverage in Okains Bay meant the students spent the down time just hanging out and enjoying being together in a fun beach environment!! It was a great few days and we hope the group left with some good memories.

P.S. A big shout out and thanks go to all of the staff who made the camp happen, and in particular, the Health and Physical Education department. Camp simply wouldn't have happened without you.
