The producers Frank Film were keen to emphasise Hagley’s focus on diversity, inclusion, individuality and flexibility.

Our students tell the Hagley story, which is a strong feature of the documentary. Paddy Grant, our first adult student to come into the school in 1974, also features. Paddy has just retired from his career as a doctor, a career made possible by his returning to high school to complete university entrance and gain entry to medical school.
