This year the rising of the star cluster Matariki, marking the beginning of the Māori New Year, is from the 13th of July, with the celebration period for Matariki from July 13th – July 20th, coinciding with the upcoming school holidays.

On the evening of Thursday July 23rd in the first week back of Term 3 we will be celebrating Matariki at school with our school Māori community and whānau of students who are studying te reo Māori at senior level and Kapa Haka at a junior and senior level. We hope you all have a restful Matariki with whānau this year and look forward to celebrating Matariki as a school next term.
