Year 10 Hagley College student, Thomas Johnstone, has been taking the Fencing world by storm.

Thomas had great success in the Oceania Under 17 Fencing Championships in Noumea, New Caledonia in October. It was his first international competition and a very successful one, as can be seen in the photo above. Thomas's team claimed the gold medal in the Men's Foil team event.

Thomas has been away training during mid October in Singapore. It looks like he may be doing more fencing overseas next year.
