What does Hagley look like?
Hagley’s lots of things for many different learners in our region! Adolescent and adult students, full-time and part-time based both on the Hagley campus and across the city, with programmes running from 8.40am to 9.00pm four days a week.
Full year programmes - mostly running before 3pm: 1200 students
- Junior College: 200 full time students
- Year 11 College: 150 full time students
- Senior College - Year 12 & 13 taking several 4 hour per week courses: 400+ mostly full-time students
- Specialist courses, like Cuisine, Fashion, Drama - there’s lots of them: 250+ mostly full-time students
- English Language Learning programmes: 200+ mostly full-time students
After 3 programmes: 750+ part-time students
Hagley working as a regional hub: 2700+ students
• Tertiary pathways, with students coming into Hagley during the year for varying lengths of time: for Catch Up College, UC@Hagley, NCEA Summer School: 300+ part-time students
• Hagley delivering programmes both on and off the Hagley site: Forte [itinerant music teaching to schools throughout Canterbury]: 2000+ students; Hagley Adult Literacy: 300+ students; Multi-Ethnic Homework and Study Centre: 100+ students; Van Asch satellite unit
