Despite the ongoing pandemic, students studying theatre and dance full time have wasted no time in getting creative.

Hagley Dance Company have just completed their annual Schools Tour and are gearing up to appear in several Christchurch festivals and events. Graduation looms and this year we are excited to be holding the event at The Arts Centre. Auditions are happening for tertiary training and we’re preparing for a change in 2021.

The course will move to a part-time basis, eight hours of dance per week which gives students the opportunity to add on extra College subjects they are interested in. Check the Hagley College website for details.

Hagley Theatre Company recently completed another successful Scene+ season in the College café and now have swiveled their attention towards Gi60, the international one-minute play festival and a full-length piece that will incorporate all of their students. Changes are underway at their base in Champion St too - more details are coming soon.
