Computing for Adult Refugees

The Learning Communities Team —

The majority of the students who participate in this class come from the Bhutanese community in Christchurch. Many students have never used a computer before. The class teaches basic skills and internet use to aide their everyday lives.

Part of the class programme is connecting parents with their children’s learning. It focuses on those families who have children at low decile schools by helping adults use a computer. In return this will help their children to use the internet safely and contribute to enhancing their children’s performance at school.

Classes run every Thursday

4.00pm - 6.00 pm
