NCEA Information Update for Students & Caregivers

Jenni Holden —

Details of students' NCEA Standards and an invoice for the payment of the 2018 NCEA fees have recently been sent to all senior students.

NCEA fees are payable every year that students participate in any assessments. This means that even if students are just gaining credits through internally assessed Standards they will still need to pay the fee. If the fee is not paid, the credits gained are not recorded on their Record of Achievement, they will not count towards any certificates (such as NCEA Level 1), and they cannot be seen by employers or training organisations.

The NCEA fee for 2018 is $76.70 – but this can be reduced if students qualify. Full details and an application form have been sent with the invoice, and the fee could come down to $20 per student, or less!

Entry into Scholarship examinations is $30 per subject, and non-payment of any charged Scholarship fee could result in University Entrance not being awarded.
