This year Hagley College once again hosted Abeno high school from Osaka, Japan to spend 12 days in Christchurch.

Over the years, Hagley College and Abeno high school have established a special bond of friendship as we continue to provide positive learning experiences with culture and language exchange. The students are immersed into kiwi culture and learn to expand on what English they know by interacting with their homestay family and Hagley students.

Activities included, canoeing on the Avon River, Clip and Climb, walks into the CBD, exploring Willowbank and English classes where students learnt some Maori crafts and songs.
