11VOC

Simon Purvis —

11VOC made the most of the early autumn by taking a trip to Miranda Nut Farm in Clarkville and Mandala Orchard in Ashley.

Students had a lot of fun picking up walnuts and hazelnuts, although the spikey chestnut cases meant they had to use yellow gloves! After that they went apple-picking and got apples for only 70c a kilo, so at that price some students bought over 10kgs! Finally we had a little bit of time up our sleeves so we popped in and bought some free-range eggs from a roadside stall. The eggs were so popular with the students that the stall sold out of eggs twice! Everyone had a lovely time and 11VOC are looking forward to their next trip.
