HAGLEY Culture Chat on PLAINS FM 96.9

The Learning Communities Team —

Hagley Culture Chat on PLAINS FM 96.9 is a radio programme by our ESOL students from the adolescent classes.

As a class, together with their teachers, these students design a 30 minute programme that showcases ethnic songs, ethnic recipes, stories of resettlement, interviews and presentations of different cultures and countries. They will record their programme at the radio station a week before it will be on-air. For the students involved, learning English outside the classroom have given them further opportunities in learning with fun and new experience.

You can listen live at 8.30am Thursday (first week of every month). Alternatively, go to PLAINS FM website to listen to the podcast of their programme.
