Homework Centre Celebration

The Learning Communities Team —

Our students had a wonderful celebration at End of Term 1.

All students from Primary and Secondary room were gathering to celebrate their progress after the first term at the learning centre. Afghani mums prepared a healthy snack as a big thank you to the teachers and tutors at the Centre who are very dedicated to support their children. The mums follow the cooking class as part of the learning programme at the Homework Centre, while their children study under the supervision of the teachers in the classroom nearby.

This Term the Homework Centre welcomes more parents joining the evening programme. Two ESOL computer classes are open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to help parents to improve their computer skills, access to the internet-based services of the government such as Study Link, Work and Income, how to create REALME account, and so on. Feel free to come along and learn something about using a computer.

Some places are still available in the Tuesday class (from 3pm-6pm). This class is free of charge.
