Hagley Performing Arts Winter Showcase 2020

Naressa Gamble - Head of Dance Studies —

During the Covid-19 lockdown pandemic future opportunities to perform were looking slim. As the lockdown lifted, hopes rose and The Piano: Centre for the Music and the Arts advertised a wonderful opportunity to the Performing Arts community for free venue hire to support the employment of their staff.

Now that the Hagley Open Stage has been demolished, the Hagley Performing Arts department have been on the look-out for performance opportunities and venues to showcase Hagley's talented students.

Hagley Performing Arts are pleased to bring to you for the first time in over five years a collaborative show combining dance, film, music, and theatre with performances from Hagley Dance Company, School of Music, Hagley Theatre Company and NCEA students, including Year 13 School of Music student Elvis Nicolls, who recently won second place at a prestigious National competition, the Shakespeare Composition Competition.

Please support us by purchasing tickets from the Hagley Enrolment Centre, at only $10 a ticket! This is a rare and one off opportunity for Hagley Performing Arts to showcase their talents together at this amazing venue - let's fill it!!

Where: The Piano: Centre for Music and the Arts - The Philip Carter Family Concert Hall 156 Armagh Street Christchurch
