Geography and Tourism students
Eighteen Geography and Tourism students travelled to Aoraki in late May to learn about the national park run by the Department of Conservation.
Only one student had visited previously, so when the sun shone, there were a multitude of spectacular views to absorb. We learned a lot from a DOC staffer Ray Bellringer. It was an informative and exciting visit to Aotearoa's mountainous district. As one of the students said: "I want to wake up every morning to see a beautiful sunrise surrounded by mountains" (Darren).
