The Hagley Writers' Institute

Zoe Meager —

The Quick Brown Dog Journal, Issue 5. Submissions now open to all writers across Aotearoa.

The Hagley Writers' Institute (HWI) journal The Quick Brown Dog (QBD) warmly welcomes writers connected with HWI and writers new, emerging and established, not associated with HWI, to submit for the journal's fifth issue. This year's journal will be printed on eco paper and hand bound.

The theme is IDENTITY/TUAKIRI.
We want your poems, flash and short fiction that explore, crack open or dance with IDENTITY/TUAKIRI. Whether that's voices that speak of unspoken truths, curious mistaken identities, shifting, crumbling or fought for identities, surprising identities, stories of self or relationships, stories of places and things. Any work that has threads of IDENTITY/TUAKIRI running through it is welcome.
