Junior Prize Givings 2020

Suzanne Waters —

Junior College student achievement was formally recognised at the Year 9 and Year 10 Prize Givings, which were both held in the final week of school.

The Year 9 ceremony was held at Hagley in Gym 2, and we were pleased to see so many parents and whānau able to attend to help celebrate with us. The Year 10 event was at St Margaret’s College, with a bumper turnout of parents and whānau.

Te Puna Wai o Waipapa Kapa Haka rōpū performed to captivated audiences for both events, providing a wonderful energy and support for students gaining awards. Israel Mullen delighted the audience with a superb piano rendition of “All of Me” by John Legend at the Year 9 event and Ruby Comfort’s excellent performance of “They Don’t Know About Us” by One Direction drew rousing applause at the Year 10 event.
