A Trip to the Gondola

Saira Akbari —

Yesterday our class, 11EJU, went to the Gondola with our teachers.

It was not too far. It was near Woolston. We went there because our teachers wanted us to learn how Christchurch was made. We went there by bus. The bus took us 20 minutes.

Going up the Gondola car was enjoyable. When we sat in the Gondola, I felt scared. When I went higher I forgot everything because I saw beautiful scenery and I could see Christchurch with a road full of cars, houses, farms, and the beautiful sea with blue colour. We waited about 15 minutes for other students at the Gondola shop. After we waited 15 minutes we went inside to the movie room. We went inside the movie but unfortunately when we went to inside the small car stopped. The lady came into the movie room and said you must go back with your feet because it is not working. The second time fortunately we went very well. Anyway we learned about Christchurch and how it made.

After we watched the movie we went hiking all together. Just Nasrin did not go with us because the way we went was too muddy for her. We walked, laughed, and joked with each other. We saw a sheep with twins. Nathan showed us how small we could see the New Brighton pier. We ate our lunch all together. All the food was delicious.

After we ate our lunch we went back to the Gondola. Students were very tired because it was up hill. When we arrived in the Gondola Lesley said “quickly because the bus is waiting.” First Lesley with three students went down the Gondola. Second, our group went. It was a very good day .
