Year 13 Tourism Class Visit

Maria Pilkington —

The 13TOU class visited the Christchurch International Airport on Monday 24th February.

We were hosted by Lily Bloxham - the Airport Services Co-ordinator. The Christchurch International Airport is owned by the Christchurch City Council and the NZ Government. Lily likened the space to a shopping mall - in that space is leased out to airlines, retailers, food outlets and tourism-type businesses. It is their job to oversee the day to day running of the facility. The airport is a busy place so we were lucky to secure this informative visit. I was thrilled with how well our Hagley College students engaged in the visit.
