This is Hagley Writers' Institute's 10th Year Celebration.

The Hagley Music Department had yet another busy schedule in Terms 3 and 4.

One way we've been implementing our Te Reo Māori language plan is through language blackboards used in a range of learning areas at Hagley.

Hagley teacher Aimee Mahuta is leading a project to develop a mural weaving new strands into the story of Hagley, Te Puna Wai o Waipapa.

Some of you will have noticed the building and landscape work happening around the College, led by the intrepid Phil and Grant and ably assisted by Freddy!

As well as eBooks, we now have access to 500+ Audiobooks through our school's Wheelers platform.

Once teenagers start high school it is easy for their parents to feel a bit disconnected from what is happening in their school and social lives. 

We are proud to announce that this year we have three Hagley Dance Company members who have been successfully accepted into Unitec’s Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance for 2018.

It has been a fun, creative, and exciting year in the Dance Department this year, with students working hard towards gaining credits in performance, choreography, and literacy. 

Recently Hagley held an Innovations Evening to share information with new entrant Year 9 students and their parents about two exciting new collaborative programmes for 2018’s Year 9 students. The evening was well attended by approximately 180 students and parents.

Thursday 23rd November is the day for all new and prospective students to enrol at Hagley for 2018.

Year 10 Hagley College student, Thomas Johnstone, has been taking the Fencing world by storm.
