Here at Hail we're very excited to announce another powerful new feature — support for custom domains.

Unlike many content platforms, Hail doesn't want to claim your content for itself. Our latest feature builds on that commitment — empowering you to not only publish under your own brand, but also with your own domain name.

Domain names are used to identify particular websites. For example, in the URL www.myschool.com, the domain name is myschool.com.

Up until now everything you publish with Hail has been on the 'hail.to' domain, for example — hail.to/myschool/article/..., but now you can publish under your own domain, like — myschool.com/article/....

Being able to publish your mobile-friendly content under your own domain is not only great for your brand, but also fantastic for your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

A website that creates itself

You've heard about our Hail Homepage — 'a website that creates itself', now pair it with your own custom domain and you've got your online presence and communications all sorted with one package.

What if I'm already using my domain?

If you're already using your domain for a website you can still make good use of Hail's domain feature because it supports subdomains.

A subdomain is an easy way to create a memorable Web address for unique content areas of your site. For example, you could create a subdomain for a sports portal on your site, using the Hail Homepage, that is accessible through the URL sports.myschool.com.

Not just for Homepage's

Lastly, the domain feature is flexible enough to use with anything in Hail, not just Homepages. You can add any number of domains to publications or even an individual article. So if you've published a recipe book with a Hail Magazine you can now give it its very own domain name!
