Banner-Licious 😋

One of the most exciting additions is the new Banner Carousel feature. This allows you to add up to 5 articles to the homepage banner where they will automatically rotate like a slideshow.

Updating the banner is as easy as you’d hope and the articles can be seamlessly ordered by just dragging and dropping. Plus, we’ve optimised its shape so photos are no longer cropped.

This has been highly anticipated and we’re very happy to deliver it to you now.

Menu-Tastic 🤩

We’ve shipped another huge, often-requested feature: Quick-link Folders! If the name doesn’t give it away, you can now add folders for your quick-links to easily create dropdown menus for your website.

We’ve added quick-link folder support to individual shared articles, newsletters and all other publications too. So you can now add dropdown menus to everything you publish with Hail!

Features-Galore 🎉

Every section of the website has been redesigned and rebuilt. Check below for details on some of the other major features:

• Sidebar Text Block — a second text block ideal for easy listing and updating of school’s term dates and the like.
  

• All New Newsfeed — the latest version of the homepage’s newsfeed quadruples the number of highlighted articles and newsletters in the same space, with much larger and more attractive previews. It also now includes handy tag filters so older articles are easily surfaced.

• Widgets — relevant website widgets are now much more accessible directly within the website edit screen.
• Video Widget — highlight key videos right on your homepage with the much smarter updated widget, that now works on mobiles too.

• Article Upgrades — now with a more standardised and cleaner look to ensure readability. This includes individual articles shared through email and social media. Plus the Translate Widget from the homepage has been included for those visitors landing directly on an article. The tag filters are also present to encourage further exploration, along with the full Contacts footer now site-wide.
• Plus much more. Oh! And as a bonus, you can now drag and drop attachments to reorder them 😅

When Can I Get It?

The updates to individual published articles and for editing Quick-Links and Widgets are available now! Just be sure to reload Hail in your browser for the latest version.

For the new website, we’ll be rolling it out to customers over the next couple of weeks to ensure a smooth transition. The first ones are switching over today!

We’ll be in touch to let you know when yours is being upgraded. And don’t worry, all sites will be updated seamlessly during out-of-hours, with no action needed and at zero cost to you.
