Current situation

COVID-19 cases in the community

The total number of community cases is currently 21.

The associated locations of interest in Auckland and Coromandel are being updated on the contact tracing locations of interest page. Please call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 to register if you were potentially exposed and for advice on testing.

There is now a requirement for household members of a person who has been at a location of interest to isolate at home until the person who was at the location gets a negative test (you do not need to be tested unless you are asked to be). Read the notice.

Testing in Auckland and Coromandel

All of New Zealand is in Alert Level 4

All of New Zealand is in Alert Level 4 for three days starting from 11.59pm on 17 August 2021.

Auckland and the Coromandel Peninsula may be required to be at this alert level for 7 days.

Face coverings are now mandatory

You legally must wear a face covering if you are a customer or employee at businesses and services operating at Alert Level 4, including supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations, healthcare facilities, and on public transport.
