Kia ora! My name is Georgia Bryan and I will be teaching in Ackers and Hananui every Thursday afternoon this year, while also being employed part-time in the DOC visitor centre. I grew up in an awesome beach community called Te Hēnga in West Auckland and spent the majority of my childhood horse riding and exploring the beautiful Waitākere Ranges with my whānau. For the past three years, I have been a classroom teacher at a large intermediate school in Auckland and I have moved to Rakiura to be with my partner Johnny and to enjoy a slower-paced life. I have loved spending time as a teacher at HMB school so far and can't wait to continue to work with the wonderful tamariki as the year progresses.
