House wanted to rent long term in our school area for an international Korean family coming to our school. Mother and three children arrive mid January please contact the office.

Sharp After School Care

Is currently running at Aidenfeild Christian School. However for 2018 they are moving to Halswell Baptist Church on Balcairn Street.

There they are hoping to break the children up into 2 groups older/younger .

I have been driving a number of children from Halswell School to Sharp this year.

I understand that the waiting list for Oscar program is about 80, with no movement indicated for 2018.

I will be driving next year but would like an expression of interest from anyone else who is considering using Sharp program next year and needs transport to let me know. It is not a binding commitment, but will help us to look at a larger vehicle , currently considering a van or if a lot of interest may use a bus.

Children can be dropped home as well. The cost will depend on numbers.

Children booked in 5 days a week, are not charged for absents, however those booked only a couple of days still pay to secure their position. (just their days they would normally use)

Halswell Community Christmas Market

On this Saturday 12 - 2 pm at Halswell Hub Corner of Halswell Road and Sparks Road.

There will be many home made crafts for Christmas gifts.
Alani and Ceri will be Selling their Crafts, Zipped Coin and Kindle Pouch's
also Kids Bath Soap Pouch with LUSH Lavender Soap to float in a bath
and used as a wash cloth ...chillaxing for children.
Other Shower Soap Pouches are for adults: A Sweet Smell of Sea Salt Caramel and Wake up with Bohemian
Lemon Essential Oil. All Pouches are $5-$10. Money Raised goes to The Cancer Society and a small percentage back to the Girls.
Alani is a past pupil from Halswell School.

Baxter's Buddies (Before and After School Care)

Baxter's Buddies is a new OSCAR Programme for the Halswell Area of Christchurch.

We are based at the Halswell Community Hall, 450 Halswell Road.

We have vans that pick up the children daily from Halswell School and as of Term 1, 2018, Oaklands School.

Our carers are all mothers with many years of combined experience, working in the teaching, education and home care area of child care.

We are taking enrolments now for 2018!

Child Carer Available

I have just completed job caring for 3 little boys and have many years' experience caring for children of friends and family as well as professionally. I am an experienced nanny with adult children and a grand-child of my own.

I am available for early morning starts, after school care, through to evenings when I can cook dinner, do baking etc. to make life flow that much easier for working parents.

I am also available throughout all the school holidays. I can work late or weekends if needed.

I love children and enjoy caring and nurturing them. But best of all - we can have fun to.
