Last Monday was the final game of the season for the Halswell Thunder Years 7&8 basketball team. They were competitive in all their games in this competition which is played at Pioneer Stadium and runs across Term 2 and 3. The first game at 4pm was against Medbury Celtics and the team needed to win this to make the final. They put in a strong team effort and came out winners 26-8. The final at 5.30pm was against Heathcote Valley Vipers. This was a tough game and the final result was a win to Heathcote Valley by 25-15. The team had a good season and can be proud of their efforts.
