Bad Panda NZ Book Launch

Thanks to everyone who came along to our Zoom book launch for Swapna Haddow and Sheena Dempsey's new book Bad Panda last week. It was so great to see so many Halswell kids watching while I chatted to Swapna and Sheena. For those of you who are desperate to get your hands on Bad Panda we will hopefully have it in the library soon. In the mean time you can watch a short video of me sharing the first couple of chapters of the book here.

Returning library books

Please don't stress about getting library books back in the next couple of days. Children can hold on to these until their library visits next week. If your child normally visits the library with their class on a Thursday or Friday (or they are desperate for new books to read!) I will still let them issue books this week, even if they haven't returned their pre-lockdown books. 

Heaps of new books waiting for you!

Today I have been furiously getting new books ready for you to borrow. These books (and more) will be ready for you to borrow tomorrow. They can't wait to go home with you!
