Do you have building abilities or contacts for quotes?

The PTA and school are planning to develop the area outside the staff lounge on the Years 7&8 side (pictured above) into a community space and BBQ area that is in keeping with the current aesthetics of the school. It will provide a sheltered outdoor area that not only can be used for sausage sizzles but also provides working bench space for other community events.

The current thinking is that a wall of some type is needed along the side nearest the school parking lot. The BBQ will be inserted along this side. The wall may be continued a short distance on the side nearest Kennedy's Bush Road. Potentially there will be some sort of canvas/clear roller system for the remainder of this side.

A roof covering is needed to make this an all-weather area. Following building advice, the solution cannot be attached to the school building. The current quote for a motorised louvre system is $30k. We propose to look at other solutions and any suggestions would be welcome.

We are looking for any help with

· the design of the area

· quotes for wall and roof solutions

· advice on BBQs – the current built-in BBQs we have sourced are all too small but we have been told that we can adapt any BBQ. Advice on this would be appreciated.

· construction related to the area once the design and solutions have been approved
