Walking School Bus

Adult Supervisors Needed

Ashley Beaton from CCC is supporting our school to set up a Walking School Bus. A Walking School Bus involves students and adult supervisors walking in a group to school. Each ‘bus’ walks along a set route with at least one adult ‘driver’ picking up children at designated ‘bus stops’ and walking them to and from school. Walking School Buses help to reduce traffic congestion around schools. We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to be an adult supervisor for either a morning or afternoon shift and learn about what is involved. If you are interested can you please email Ashley Beaton or Tracey Mora by Friday 16 September. A planning meeting is being held at school on Thursday 22 September at 2pm for all the adult volunteers who want to learn about what this involves.
