Tēnā koutou e te whānau

I'm pleased to inform you that following this afternoon's Covid-19 announcement, all regions outside of Auckland will return to Alert Level 1 at 11.59 pm tonight. This means that tomorrow's Meet the Teacher Learning Conferences will go ahead as scheduled. Please note that the conferences start at 3.30pm tomorrow so school will finish as normal at 3pm.

A reminder that the Meet the Teacher Learning Conferences that were scheduled for today have been postponed until Wednesday 3 March. If you had a booking for today it will automatically transfer through to 3 March. If your booking time is no longer suitable, please contact our Office Manager Heather Burnby who will happily reschedule a new appointment for you.

Despite the disruptions of Alert Level 2 this week, we have had a very settled start to the 2021 school year. Thank you to all of the families who attended the Welcome Back to School Picnic during the first week of term. We had a fantastic turn-out and the event proved to be a great opportunity for teachers, parents and children to re-connect at the beginning of the new school year. A special thank you to the PTA for organising the sausage sizzle on the night.

Finally, congratulations to all of the Years 5-8 students who participated in last week's swimming sports both at Jelly Park (competitive) and the Halswell Pool (non-competitive). I was really impressed with not only the swimming talents on display but also the grit and determination demonstrated by our students. Thank you to all of the parents who helped out at both events and to our staff for their superb organisation.

I look forward to seeing many of you at this weekend's Run to Remember.
