We are extending the Stationery Drive to help the children in Vanuatu.

In September, ten Halswell School Years 7&8 students will get the opportunity to go to the country of Vanuatu. Part of this experience will involve visiting two schools on the main island of Efate.

Schools in Vanuatu are very under-resourced compared to New Zealand. Schools and their students have limited access to basic teaching and learning resources. To help them with this, we have organised a stationery drive.

Until this Friday, there will be a box in the Years 7&8 end of Otumatua where you can put any stationery that you wish to donate to the children of Vanuatu. Some examples of what you can bring are; rubbers, pencils, pens, markers, etc. Make sure that the stationery you bring is new, and in working order.
