Great Night Out and a Great Win for the Crusaders

Parent Teacher Association at Halswell School —

Crusaders 57 - Chiefs 28

What a great time was had by all at the Crusaders game on the 9 March. Spirits were high and there was a lot of enthusiastic (and somewhat perilous) flag waving by the excited Halswell students, especially after each try and conversion - of which there were many. For some the match was a first, but it certainly won’t be the last. Here’s what some of our kids had to say:

“The rugby was good. I especially liked when the flames shot up each time they got a try” – Noah, Year 6

"I enjoyed the inflatable fan zone and goodie bags. It was a good game to be at. I loved going on the field after the game." - Lachie, Year 4

“It was fun supporting the Crusaders alongside some of my friends and getting to go on the field after the game and talk to the players,” – Juliette, Year 6

“I loved the rugby, I loved after the game I could go on the field and score a try under the posts. Ryan Crotty is my favourite.” – Carter, Year 4

“It was really cool! The Crusaders are my favourite rugby team and I knew they’d smash the Chiefs” – Jesse, Year 3

The evening went off without a hitch and our thanks to the Crusaders Marketing team for ensuring all ran smoothly. A big thank you also to the 172 of you who bought tickets and helped to make it a special night.

See you at the next Crusaders home game versus Brumbies, 5.15pm on Sat 6 April.
