We are pleased to announce some new and enhanced features in Hero this year that will allow you to access all the information you need to keep up to date from your Hero app.

Please note that we are no longer using “School Apps” so please delete this and ensure that you check Hero regularly instead as we will now be using Hero to send information in the case of an emergency e.g., earthquake, sudden school closure etc. This will come in the form of a text alert. Please ensure the office has your current phone number so we can contact you quickly if needed.

The Covid tracing function on School Apps is no longer available so if coming onto the grounds please sign in through the office.

From your Hero homepage you can now access our school website, policies and procedures, term dates, the current newsletter, the school google calendar and let us know if your child is going to be absent from school. We hope that having all these links in one place will make it easier for you to find everything you need to keep up to date.

Using Hero to report an absence:

To let us know your child is going to be away from school:

1. Click “Report an absence”

1. Select the reason for absence. Please note, completion of the additional information section is mandatory if you have chosen “... will be absent tomorrow”.

1. Click “Send message”.
