STAFF REQUIRED

We are looking for an Assistant to join our fantastic team in our After school and Holiday programmes.

This is a permanent part-time role ideally suited to a student aged 16 years or older.

Key Attributes and Skills required include:

• Be honest, punctual and reliable

• Well organised with the ability to use initiative in organising on the spot games and activities

• Energetic and active

• A positive attitude and lots of enthusiasm

• A genuine interest in the well-being of children

• Enjoy being outdoors even on cold days!

• Have the ability to relate with parents/caregivers

• Work well within a team environment

You will also be responsible for the delivery of sporting, crafts and recreational activities for the children aged between 5 – 13 years old.

Applicants must be available to work between the hours of: 3 – 6pm for our After School Programme (not necessarily required each day, Fridays essential) and between the hours of 7:30am – 6pm for our Holiday Programme.

We will provide you with ongoing industry training.

Please note that applicants will need to undergo a comprehensive induction programme, and should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa, and the appointment will be subject to a complete police and reference check.

Oscar at Halswell currently has spaces available in our Before school programme, and limited spaces in our After School Programme.

Before School Programme runs from 7:15am. After School to 6pm.

MARRZIPAN DRAMA

Marrzipan Drama is running a special DISCOUNTED short term for the rest of term 2! Students will get to explore different scripts, choose their favourite, audition and be cast as a character, and then record a MOVIE TRAILER for the play. A digital copy will be sent to parents so you can celebrate your child’s achievements by watching it at home with them.

Marrzipan Drama is a safe space where children are encouraged to learn at their own pace and come out of their shell when they are ready, with the guidance of our wonderful, fun and supportive Marrzipan teachers.
