Music Tuition 2020 Sign-up now!

Rob Naysmith —

With the year being almost over we need to collect expressions of interest from parents wanting their children to learn a musical instrument or have singing lessons in 2020. Please fill in the form by next Wednesday 18th December.

Children need to be in year 3, in 2020, or older to learn, except for piano, violin and ukulele where exceptions might be made for year 2 children. If tuition spaces are full, preference is given to older students and students already learning. We try to accommodate everyone, for this reason children can only learn one instrument unless the child is picking up a second instrument through the Band programme or vocal lessons with EduSing. The sign-up form is an expression of interest and tutors will follow-up with you.

We are really excited to be offering some new options this year with the Christchurch School of Music's Band programme, and EduSing - vocal lessons (please see separate articles for more detail) as well as ukulele lessons. These additions will complement our exisiting itinerant music programme. Please note that Band enrolment also has a form to fill out and return which can be collected from the office or you can find an attached form at the bottom of this article, please also tick Band in the online form so I know to expect the enrolment form.

If your child is already learning it is important that you still fill in this form. Any questions please email rob.naysmith@halswell.school.nz
