Stuart Cameron —

Tēnā koutou katoa. Tēnei te mihi atu ki a koutou

The new school year is now fully underway and the children have settled well into learning programmes. As you will be aware, Meet the Teacher Conferences are taking place over the next two evenings (Wednesday 2.00-6.30pm and Thursday 3.30-8.00pm). We hope that all parents have booked a conference with your child(ren)'s T Group teacher(s) as this is a great opportunity to discuss how the year has started and to explore some meaningful goals for 2020.

If you have not booked a conference yet, there are still some slots available. As online bookings have now closed, you will need to contact the office directly. A reminder that at any stage during the year, if you have any concerns or questions about how your child(ren) is progressing, you are welcome to make a time to discuss this with their T Group teacher.

Congratulations to all of the Years 5-8 students who took part in last week's Swimming Sports both at Jelly Park and Te Hapua Halswell Aquatic Centre. I was impressed with the overall standard of swimming on display along with a good helping of our school values, particularly resilience when the going got tough. Good luck to all of the swimmers who have qualified to go onto the Lincoln Zone Swimming Sports on 2 March.

Finally, in what is sad news for us, we will be farewelling our wonderful Office Manager Sandra Luff next month. Sandra will be relocating to Alexandra with her husband Kevin. As I'm sure you will be aware, Sandra is a vital part of our team and will be greatly missed. Her last official day will be Friday 20 March.

Have a great week.

Ngā mihi nui
